Has anyone here have been tested with Bio-Rad Geenius test? In my country the confirmation test is this and no longer the westren blot. On Sunday I have an appointment with infectious disease doctor, hoping I can convince him to give me the test even though the ELISA test is negative ...

Thanks Tired. Sorry I’ve been busy with the fam the last few days. It was lengthy but after a long read I found some very interesting discussion throughout. Also sorry Lior but I personally have no experience with said test. Hope everybody is doing well. I just wanna thank you guys for participating in this discussion. It’s quite therapeutic at a time where nobody I know personally has any interest in this type of discussion. I hope everybody is doing well physically and mentally.

No worries Inthebeginning. Hope you’re well man
Sorry Lior I’m not aware of that test either. The more I read, the less likely I feel it is that we will ever test positive. Even if it is HIV....which I don’t think it is. Like someone said - to suddenly test positive after over 30 months would be the longest recorded case in human history...many previous posters have passed the two year mark. It ain’t gonna happen.
It’s a bit of a curse that HIV has the most similar symptoms to this thing, as the whole initial “I think I have hiv despite negative tests” description is what leads to us all being dismissed as paranoid. “Fear of HIV” etc.
I’m just going to focus on my diet and improving my immune system. As immune level and gut seem to be the long term problems. Maybe one day this thing will be discovered, but I feel like we have no control over when that happens. So many have tried and been dismissed. My symptoms are manageable enough at this point. Hopefully that continues... Until an actual cause is found, I’m not willing to risk any of the more extreme treatments like ARV etc.
Long-term posters seem to disappear after a few years, so the optimist in me is just assuming that they all get better and forget about it. Or they just get used to this weakened state. I know when I’m feeling well I tend to check the threads less often. Either that or they’re dying, which if that’s the case I might as well just enjoy my life.

Yea I know my dog became ill within the first weeks of my illness and was under the weather for about 5 months, roughly the same amount of time it had been the most symptomatic

@inthebeginning
Yes right nothing surprising here, but it's nice to remind what's the context surrounding all this.
No news from @isithiv??

Yet another case to be dismissed as anecdotal. By individuals too terrified to acknowledge there's a good chance they've been infected. Just figured I'd share.

Yeah I check out the Chinese Tieba forum and there’s no mention of that. They’re the same as here - not a single person has suddenly tested positive. They’re also the same as here in that people on their board just stop posting after a few years...
That reddit one is interesting. But you never know if the guy is just lying to keep up a front because he’s cheated on his partner of something. I’m glad you shared it, but one guy’s anecdote on reddit doesn’t convince me
