"Have anyone here tested for rheumatoid arthritis? I've seen many people in the old forum (RIP) complaining about joint pain, dry eyes and mouth and other symptoms related to this disease.
Although I know it is not the cause of our problem, I'm curious about how many of us developed this condition as a consequence of this unknown STD.
I've been feeling joint pain very often. It's not severe, it's more like the pain you feel after a day of workout. Except that I haven't been practicing any kind of physical activity whatsoever.
I'm going to see a rheumatologist doctor tomorrow and see what he will have to say."

I have developed arthritis type condition in both knees at the 7mth mark - have never had this problem in my life. This morning I noticed that I’m now feeling it in my wrists. Along with the very dry eyes. by scaredmatt "Have anyone here tested for rheumatoid arthritis? I have very bad arthritis through most joints in the body now. They coma and go but are always there especially in the morning and when I’m sleeping. I’ve had several tests run but no RA detected. Most of my symptoms are a result of the infection.. not the infection itself. My body has now turned on itself.. just as I’m sure many of you feel the same way. by scaredmatt "Have anyone here tested for rheumatoid arthritis? Hi how are you all? Just wanted to update that I did a CMV test both IGG and IGM result negative. In addition I did an ELISA test for HTLV1/2 and the results are Negative. I have been suffering from eye inflammation for the last week, and pain in the right ear and throat on the right. Doctors say my throat looks very bad, but it's not a bacterial infection because I took antibiotics for a week and it did not help. In addition, I have a recurrent outbreak of folliculitis in the last week on the chest and upper abdomen. I upload a photo: preview.ibb.co/bXEyHq/20181107-213052.jpg This outbreak of folliculitis happend also after 1.5 of the exposure. In addition, I have strange rashes that come and go especially on the area of the arms, like a small red dots it goes after two days, here is a picture from Sunday: preview.ibb.co/caECAA/20181105-115822.jpgEye inflammation preview.ibb.co/m5aNcq/20181108-202724.jpg Now I'm after 14 months and still suffering. There is a lot of other symptoms, every day is a struggle for me..

I have the exact same rashes as you lior30. I think we have chatted on ehealthforum before. I think yours and mine symptoms match very much. I have the same rashes in addition to persistent lymph nodes swelling till 3.5 years now. I'm concerned with hiv-2 and I'm testing for it extensively. How is your cd4? My cd4 and cd4/cd8 is also declining. How long has been your exposure and what was it exactly?

I got infected in September 2017(14 months ago) after having sex with a prostitute in Budapest (Hungary) The sexual contact was oral and vaginal with a condom(the same condom for oral and vaginal). By the way, I also have painful and enlarged lymph nodes. In my ultrasound of the neck, I have seen that I have a reactive lymph nodes the size of them is 26 x 6 mm. Yesterday I had severe pain in the lymph node on the left side of the neck, and the family doctor said that the lymph node is very enlarged and sent me to perform a CT of the neck with a contrast material , I have an appointment next month. Do you have also white tounge? Dry mouth? Dry skin especially of the palms that the skin is peeling from your fingers? I have Xerostomia, my doctor also sent me to do a biopsy of the Salivary glands, the appointment of the biopsy will be next month also. About the cd4,cd8 test-I went to the immunologist before a week, he said to me that he is not accepting to perform a CD4 count because my HIV test is Negative,my last combo test 4th generation HIV1/2 ab/ag was done after 12 months of the exposure. What about you? How you got infected and when?

I am really interested to see your results of Biospy, do they check for HIV as well ? please do update results of the salivary glands. Biopsy of 7 salivary glands from the lower lip. From sampled glands, the general structure is maintained, with a single small locus of chronic inflammation that does not support the diagnosis of sjogren. The average density of the inflammation points is only 0.05 to 4 mm square (below the threshold required for diagnosis) They are not searching for HIV in the salivary glands.
